Why are your prices so good?
Because we keep our operational costs and overheads down. We also source
directly from known and trusted manufacturers and suppliers.
Why don’t you have a showroom?
Quite simply, because we want to keep our overheads down. We know that the
quality and pricing of our furniture will sell itself. Many people often buy
straight off the net if they are happy with the quality of the product, the
price and the Company. We do however appreciate that some people want to see
before they buy. The choice is yours. Our distribution outlet is in Albany.
What if something is wrong with the items when they are delivered?
We don’t anticipate you having problems with the carrier who delivers your
goods. If however you do find something wrong, write it on the delivery
note/invoice, take photos and e-mail us the details immediately and we’ll take
it from there.
What happens if I find a fault with the item?
All of our furniture is covered by our 12 month guarantee. If you do have any
problems at all with your goods, then we will do all that we are able to resolve
genuine issues. We operate a high degree of integrity when dealing with
customers and appreciate your custom.
Can I see the item before I buy?
Absolutely – However, viewing is by appointment only and the items will be in
storage. You need to make an appointment because we don’t run a showroom.
Can I collect the goods?
Yes of course you can, but it can only be done by arrangement.
Are all your items solid wood?
Most of our chairs are solid throughout, unless they are padded. On our Vancouver range, many of our
tables are beautifully finished in a natural, rustic Oak veneer. If you are not sure whether an item is solid or veneer - please ask first. Please Note: just because an item is veneer, it doesn't mean it isn't heavy. None of our tables should ever be dragged, as this can stress and weaken critical supports on the underside of the table. If you need to move a table - it takes two people minimum to lift it into place.
What are the seat pads made of?
Seat pads on all of our padded chairs are made of bi-cast.
What is Bi-cast?
We googled 'what is bicast' and this link came out top from www.coja.com "Web definitions - Bicast is a split leather with a layer of polyurethane (vinyl) applied to the surface and then embossed. Bicast was originally made for the shoe industry and recently was adopted by the furniture industry." However, in New Zealand using the word 'leather' is a misrepresentation, and we do not associate the word leather with the bicast padding on our seats. Should you see the word leather please check with us first - so we can confirm that the product you are looking at is indeed leather. Thank you.
Is the information I provide you confidential?
Absolutely – we promise never to give (or sell) any information you provide
us with to any other 3rd party. Of course we do have to give certain information
to our carriers.
What does minor assembly on the Bali Barstools mean:
These barstools require the use of a screwdriver only. The Legs are pre-assembled, you are just adding cross bars into already prepared joints and affixing to insets on underside of seat. We are VERY impressed with these barstools. The reason for making them require minor assembly is simply for convenience and freight costs. the same barstool assembled by freight would be expensive. We've been working for some time on providing a sturdy, robust barstool, which we can ship easily and this is it.
I’m not comfortable paying for something online!
Not a problem – either make a bank transfer to our account (manual or via
internet banking), or send us a cheque (allow time for it to clear) or pay COC
(cash on collection) if you are picking up your items personally. Credit Card
payments are currently made through Pay Pal who go to great lengths to ensure
all personal information is kept secure (See
https://www.paypal.com/za/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/securitycenter/buy/DataEncryption-outside)
Remember though that good internet security starts at home. Anybody making an
online payment should have a good anti-virus security suite on their computer.
If you have a general question that we haven’t answered and think it would help
others, feel free to e-mail us directly on
